i like......

......the occult, old cameras, lace, glitter, reese's peanut butter cups, serial killers, studded clothing, long hair, birds, death iconography, flowers, antique tea cups, praying mantises, cross-stitching, cold weather, ankle socks, dreams, safety pins, cigarette holders, backseam tights, beehive hairdos, winged eyeliner, chunky glasses, tea, photobooths, crucifixes, bleached hair.

(half of those things make me sound like a grandma, and the other half like a goth. trust)

One of my favorite childhood memories is opening the door and seeing a praying mantis on the screen door.

Going back to an earlier post, "Iko Iko" is part of a Mardi Gras parade song tradition. The Wild Tchoupitoulas recorded songs in this tradition.

Here are two for you.

"Big Chief Got a Golden Crown" - from their 1976 LP.
